Audio description

For blind and visually impaired cinema-goers, audible descriptions of what's happening on screen, normally supplied during breaks in the dialogue, are important. Concise language is employed to describe the important elements such as the actors' gestures and expressions, landscapes and sets on a separate soundtrack. These descriptions are provided by means of infrared systems that the cinema-goer can listen to on headphones, either in stereo or as a second audio signal that can be selected.
